This week I was planning on doing trash picking, but the “expert” I was going to video ended up stuck in Cape Cod. I held my own “Wicked Big Yod Sale” on Saturday, and on Sunday I went to the Providence Flea. Providence is the home to RISD, Rhode Island School of Design, Ivy League for Art Schools. The Providence Flea is not the traditional flea market. First, the setting if GEORGEOUS. Right on the water. Also, you can tell it is curated, they select the vendors. At a bunch of flea markets I frequent, you can buy dish washing detergent and other stuff from coupon hustlers. (I am not knocking the coupon hustlers, I respect any hustle, and I buy that stuff too….anything to save a dollar!) This is a high end flea market. A bunch of conversion pieces, refinished and repurposed. One of my favorites is Sugar High Jewels. The owner makes jewelry out of CANDY!!!! What woman doesn’t love candy and jewelry? That is a beautiful marriage.
So, please check out this weeks vlog. I tried to capture the vendors business cards, so if you are interested in any of the pieces, you can contact them directly.
Thanks for watching…..happy hunting!
